#AndThatsAWrap – #WithFaceAflame @aewalnofer #Blogtour #ZooloosBookTours #BookTour

Well if I am writing this post it means that the blog tour for With Face Aflame has sadly come to an end – a bit late but did we all love Madge?

Let us recap with these snippets

A gloomy start to 26th July, but it is bright here!

Review at Rae Reads “I loved the friendship between Madge and Keaton. As he gently offered reassurance and care to Madge. I found this added a wonderful uplifting feel to the book. By the end of the story it felt as if I was saying goodbye to friends. With Face Aflame is a delightful coming of age story!”

Review at What Cathy Read NextWith Face Aflame is an engaging coming of age story about a young girl seeking the confidence to overcome prejudice in a world often lacking in tolerance.”

Tuesday 27th July saw these posts come in

Review at pageturnersnook (IG) “I thought With Face Aflame was a gorgeous read that comes with a great message in that we should accept ourselves for who we are regardless of what others see or think. Be happy with what you have.”

Review at Jess Bookish LifeThe connection I felt with Madge was one of experience, although the context and time period are different, we both have had similar experiences and that made me understand her more. Seeing her journey of self-acceptance and searching for normalcy and happiness, is something we all can understand.”

Happy Hump – 28th July – day and we saw these reviews

Review at Donna’s Interviews, Reviews and Giveaways (FB) “The overriding message, thankfully, is that it is possible to gain the self-confidence to believe in yourself, in Madge’s case, so she can sing. A beautiful story, well told”

Review at Chicks, Rogues and Scandals “I loved the writing, the author builds a vivid picture of the era and that of Madge’s character as she develops throughout the story. I loved the journey that we readers are taken on as Madge traverse the dark waters of life, I loved how she grew in confidence once she started meeting people who like her had been shunned by society because of being a little ‘different. She meets friends who show her that she is a beautiful person inside and out”

On 29th July, we saw these posts hit are screens

Review at Pauline Render “I just hope A.E. Walnofer is planning on writing another book about Madge as I would love to see how her life progresses.”

Review at snowphiethebookworm (IG) “It is brilliantly written and it is a book that keeps you wanting more! I really enjoyed reading this book”

Review at Sue Loves to ReadA good read. It was different. I did like the cover. Great story. I liked Madges character. Read this very quickly which surprised me”

It may be Friday 30th July but there is no YAY because of the rain. Instead, I will cheer myself up with these posts

Review at jay.rae.reads (IG) “The characters are well developed and I found myself wishing for them to succeed as they traveled from town to town as performers.”

Review at QuirkyBookReadsWith Face Aflame is a detailed well thought out story that is easy to follow. I was gripped by the first page!”

It’s the penultimate day on 31st July and we saw these reviews,

Review at Sharon Beyond the Books “A beautifully, well-written story that shows us it isn’t what is on the outside that matters…it is about the inside and finally, to not judge a book by its cover alone.”

Review at Curled Up With A Good Book “This is a lovely coming of age story where you’ll journey with Madge and hear her deepest, darkest thoughts. She’s such a warm and loving characters but has such low self-confidence and it was so heartwarming, although heartbreaking at times, to see her learn and grow.”

I can’t believe that the 1st August means that it is the final day of the tour

Review at Wendyreadsbooks (IG) “an enjoyable read and good lesson about being accepting of everyone no matter what”

Review at Katrina ReadsWith Face Aflame grabbed my attention first with the title and cover, then the blurb drew me in further, and I eventually found myself racing through the pages unable to put the book down!”

So what did we learn?

Well, that Madge is a heartwarming character and one that you become quite protective of. Some people really want a second book! This is a beautiful coming of age story which has you hooked and wanting more.

Well, I’m sold and I can’t wait to read it.

That is indeed a wrap!
