My apologies for the lateness for this wrap-up!

However, let us recap the huge tour for The House On The Water’s Edge with these highlights from these posts!

Kicking off the tour on 11th August

Review by Herding Cats “C E Rose creates a lot of atmosphere through the character of Ali and how turbulent her mind is. As a reader I was never sure if she was reliable or not which I love as a character trait. It always makes me feel as though I’m not quite seeing things as they really are and gives me a sense of paranoia and inability to trust anyone.”

Review by My Bookish BlissThe House on the Water’s Edge packs a real punch to the psyche. There is one surprise after another in this tantalizing tome by CE Rose. The characters feel like living, breathing people. They will leave you thinking long after you finish.”

Review by Ginger Book Geek “I was drawn into this story from the very first word on the very first page. It was as if the book had developed a hold over me and it was a hold that I wasn’t willing to break. This hold lasted until the moment I read the very last word on the very last page. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.”

17th August

Review by Jessica Belmont “The writing is wonderful. There is an air of creepy, loneliness that looms over the house. I really enjoyed the atmospheric writing.”

Review by Bookworm1346 (IG) “The book is a slow burner, picking up pace after building up character relationships and the plot. There are so many twists in this book and it is an original psychological thriller.”

Review by prdg reads “this is the kind of book that draws you in slowly so you don’t realise it’s happening until it’s too late and it already has its teeth in you and you realise you can’t put it down until you know how it ends!”

20th August, it’s a sad day, it’s the final day!!

So what did we learn about The House of The Water’s Edge

This is a book with an unreliable narrator and if you love slow-burners this is one for you! The book is full of suspense and twists but also it is emotional. It will draw you in slowly and won’t let go until the final pages. But be careful of the red herrings!

Well, this is well and truly a wrap!
