#AndThatsAWrap for #ALifetimeAgo by Jim Ody @Jim_Ody_Author @QuestionPress #JimOdy #QuestionMarkPress #ZooloosBookTours

This is a tale about how the events of one day have such catastrophic consequences on the future.

Hudson Bell is a consultant for the police. A former DI, he spends his days helping to find missing children.

May and her son go on a road trip to celebrate his birthday; Robert and Nadia buy their dream house by the sea.

But as each look to enjoy a new life, none of them can shake off what happened on that fateful day. One of them blames the others and will stop at nothing to seek revenge.

One accident and five lives changed forever.

In September we met Hudson Bell … so what did we think?

The tour kicked off today – 21st September

Review by Jessica Belmont, “I couldn’t put this down, and every time I thought I knew what was going on, turns out I didn’t. I love the twists and turns, especially toward the end. My mind was blown.”

Review by The Divine Writes, “The book is told from different perspectives and you initially wonder how all these people are intertwined but the author has cleverly woven the plot. The characters are interesting and draw you into the story.”

Review by Herding Cats, “The plot is intricate and well written and nothing is a straightforward or simple as it seems and I never knew what was going to come next.”

Review by Rajivs Reviews, “The author tells the story in a dynamic manner where he toggles the perspective between Hudson and May. I liked this storytelling style because you got to see the events of the crime from different perspectives.”

22nd September

Review by twoladiesandabook (IG), “It was easy to follow, and I found I was just as desperate as Hudson to find answers. It honestly left me gobsmacked.”

Extract at b for bookreview, “This was his third meeting. The regulars told him it would get easier. He found that hard to believe. Not unless they started to introduce alcohol, drugs and loose women. Now that would be a meeting worth attending. Even on a fucking Tuesday night.”

Review by Bookworm Blogger, “Just when I thought I had figured it out Jim Ody threw in another curveball and the final revelation was one I hadn’t expected. A thoroughly enjoyable read that was not only entertaining but addictive”

23rd September

Review by Suze Reviews…, “There’s a good pace and Ody successfully weaves everything together reaching a tense and bittersweet denouement. I actually found it quite sad, but glad there was maybe a chink of light for Hudson.”

Review by dds_book_reviews (IG), “Well written with a comfortable pace, this book has sub plots aplenty. There are some dark moments but these are lifted by Hudson & Jez’s fantastic relationship.”

Review by Lyndas_bookreviews (IG), “But my favourite character is Jez. A computer genius who helps Hudson with his cases. The relationship between the two is just lovely. Made me smile every time Jez was around.”

Review by snowphiethebookworm (IG), “The storyline itself is one that makes it hard to put down for any length of time. I thought I had everything sussed out and was so confident that of course I was completely wrong!”

24th September

Review by Me And My Books, “This isn’t a simple or straightforward case, this case, in particular, has been nagging at Hudson. It is one that is not straightforward and it definitely has twists. This becomes even more twisted as the other characters bring their sections into the story.”

Review by A Quintillion Words, “I’d been waiting for that gripping scene of when things are revealed. I could tell it was imminent and when these pages arrived, I lost my mind! The delivery of these scenes was perfect and they were filled with danger and uncertainty.”

Review by Julie Loves Reading, “The book comes to a nail biting conclusion… I loved the ending and look forward to reading more books in this series.”

25th September

Review by Just Katherine, “The pacing is quick but that to me helped the book since it showed the urgency of searching. The backstory for all characters was well fleshed out. I want to get the rest of the books in the series.”

Review by Sue Loves to Read, “I did like the story. The ending did surprise me. Looking forward to the next book.”

Extract at Jazzy Book Reviews, ““Here he is!” Jez said, beaming as Hudson pulled up beside him. This morning Jez was wearing a white shirt with frills on it more commonly seen in an American rodeo. “Morning, Cowboy!” “Eh?” Jez looked confused as he opened the passenger door, and folded himself into the seat.”

Review by Black Books Blog, “I thought i had it sussed half way through but yet again Jim tricked me and the ending was a massive shock.”

26th September

Review by Donna’s Interviews, Reviews and Giveaways (FB), “I read this really quickly, I was totally taken in by the story, and despite having different theories as the story progressed, was completely taken by surprise by the reveal”

Review by Portable Magic, “As the novel reaches the ending, the tension rises as Hudson and Jez follow the leads they are given. I was on the edge of my seat hoping they would be successful. I did feel like I had everything sorted in my head, but there were plenty of surprises before it is all wrapped up.”

27th September and it’s the final day 🙁

The Magic of Wor(l)ds posted a spotlight of the book.

Review by The Word is Out – Alyson’s Reviews (FB), “There are lots of twists and a huge tangle of lies that begin to make sense as the story proceeds and just when you think you know what happened, you find you have been totally hoodwinked by a very skilful author and the real truth emerges”

Review by twoladiesandabook (IG), “I really enjoyed this book and felt the characters worked well it sets a good pace. You find out about the back story as you go along and true to form plenty of twists and turns.”

And that is well and truly a wrap!

Thank you ever so much to everyone who has taken part in the tour!
