Well the 3 day intense Instagram blog tour for A Cut for A Cut has come to an end….did you spot all the puzzle pieces… if not I have noted them down for you here! Can you work out what it spells?

Let’s recap!

A rainy 29th June kicked us off on the tour and PUBLICATION DAY

Erika at andonshereads spotlighted the book for us today!

PUZZLE PIECE CLUE – DICKSON’S

Beth at readbybeth has a gruesome picture for you with her review, “This truly is gripping. I was absolutely hooked after the first chapter. This gave me so many Red Dragon vibes with the whole monologues and the way the killer referred to himself as a god. I was OBSESSED.”

*Oooh I have shivers*

PUZZLE PIECE CLUE – REACH

Javier at diagnosisbookaholic thinks Carol is the Queen, “Once you start a Carol Wyer book you know you won’t be able to stop until you’ve reached the end. This time she delivers another gripping read putting the reader in the midst of the investigation right from the start.”

*Oh I completely agree with this!*

my_bookish_dreamsPUZZLE PIECE CLUE – STRETCHES

Sharlene at shh_reads_ thought it was phenomenal, “I had forgotten what a good thriller is like to read. With quick chapters you’ll keep telling yourself just one more chapter until it’s 3 o’clock in the morning and you’ve read the whole book. (Yes true story)”

*Ah sleepless nights because of a book! RESULT*

PUZZLE PIECE CLUE – MUCH FURTHER

Shaley ar 2reador2write is a happy reader, “Carol does an excellent job of laying out police procedure and making you feel like you are part of the team. I enjoyed getting to know Kate a little more an admire her scrappy determination! I couldn’t take my eyes off the page, I highly recommend this one!”

*I love that the book makes you feel this*

KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR A GIVEAWAY COMING SOON OVER ON SHALEY’S PAGE

Stacey at whisperingstoriesblog loves this series, “When you pick up a crime thriller and see it’s written by Carol Wyer, you know you’re in safe hands and this book just reinforces that knowledge.”

*Another comment I completely agree with*

PUZZLE PIECE CLUE – THAN KATE

We came back on 30th June on the hunt for more puzzle pieces, oh and reviews

Fred at fredhandbag_reads shares his thoughts, “Wyer keeps you on your toes because no character is safe. She is willing to kill any character if it advances the story.”

*Don’t we just know it!*

Emma at itsareaderslife is excited about this, “I really love the direction this book took and thought it was a crime that will always be relevant and outrage the public. Wyer proved once again how well she knows the police terminology and procedures and it felt super believable.”

*Should we be worried?*

PUZZLE PIECE CLUE – COULD, POSSIBLY

Jodie at relish_books thought it was just as good as the first book, “This was just as good as the first one, I loved getting to know all the characters again and still have no idea who to trust. If you like your books dark you will love this, not for the faint hearted!”

*The first one blew me away, this one….well you will find out soon*

PUZZLE PIECE CLUE – IMAGINE

Kristin at k2reader says Carol is one of her favourite crime authors, “I am really loving this book & am quite curious to see where it goes next. Kate is determined to bring down the corruption scandal she has uncovered & I can’t wait to see how it all plays out. Will it happen in the next book or will it play out over the course of a long series? Either way, I’m all in!⁣”

*Me too!*

Megan at megsbookclub loves a good mystery/thriller, “Not only is there a gruesome criminal on the run that is leaving a wake of terror in his path, Kate can’t trust even her own people. She knows the victims are all from the same person since he is carving the word MINE into each of them.”

*What do you do when you can’t trust your own people*

Susan at readinginthelight was gripped, “The inclusion of chapters written from the POV of the killer – a feature often excluded from crime fiction – was an excellent addition. The intertwined storylines made this a gripping read and one where I really didn’t know what was going to happen next.”

*Another one for a gripping read! Plus the killer chapters are always creepy*

PUZZLE PIECE CLUE – LINES

It’s the final day of the tour today, 1st July 🙁

Wrenn at wrenn_bongo_and_books is a fan of Carol’s, “An exciting police procedural/thriller that keeps you wanting more! A gripping read with intriguing characters, I hope we get some resolution in the corruption case she is trying to prove.”

*She really does have this knack for it*

Jenn at bookmarkonthewall will be back for more, “I also enjoyed the slower pace of the book compared to other crime/thriller novels where you get to explore Kate’s character and see what she is battling with regarding her own demons. At times I couldn’t be sure if she was reliable but I liked her as a character and I was definitely on her side throughout!”

*It’s always good to get to know our MC more*

PUZZLE PIECE CLUE – CROSSED, ARE

Michelle at michelles_book_nook is a HUGE fan, “Honestly this book was so fast paced and gripping that I never wanted to put it down! I’m so obsessed with the plot and the characters and just everything about this book and series. It was a phenomenal read and is definitely my favourite from this series so far. And I loved how it keeps you hooked until the very end when it lines up perfectly for the third installment which I cannot wait for.”

*Nothing more I can add to that*

PUZZLE PIECE CLUE – SOMEONE, AND

Sarah at bookworm1346 wants more, “It is not often I say this, but the second book is so much better than the first and the first in the series was fantastic. The book is fast paced and the writer pulls you in so you feel like you are trying to solve the case with Kate.”

*High praise indeed!!!!*

Sue at brownflopsy can’t wait for the next book, “Intriguingly, this is the kind of story where you will find yourself sure that you know the identity of the killer quite early on in the game, and will then spend the entire book second guessing yourself as Wyer lobs numerous tempting twists at you, and plies you with suspicious whispers about a raft of other characters, until you don’t know where you are.”

*I have always said Carol was tricksy*

PUZZLE PIECE CLUE – THE, ULTIMATE

Sara at sarasbookclub thoroughly enjoyed this, “I got a creepy feeling reading this, genuinely worrying about the characters as the story progresses. DI Kate Young has fast become my favourite book detective. The only gripe I have with this book is that the ending leaves you wanting more!!!!”

*I know how you feel!*

PUZZLE PIECE CLUE – PRICE!

jay.rae.reads is happy that Kate is back, “This novel was amazing. The way the author was able to interweave the plot twists and the suspense was masterful.”

*Oh god yes! All of this!*

And that is a wrap!
