Saturday, 7:48 a.m. I wake to the sound of my phone ringing — and a sick, sinking feeling that I’m not alone. It’s the morning after my bachelorette party. Fourteen days until my wedding. I have the worst hangover of my life . . . and there’s a stranger in bed next to me.

I answer the call. It’s Suzanne, my best friend. ‘I don’t know how to say this, Maggie. It’s Angie, she’s dead.’

I can’t believe it. We were all together a few hours ago, dancing our hearts out at the club downtown.

It was meant to be my last night out as a single woman with my six oldest, closest friends. But now one of us is dead.

And one of us might have killed her.

And who’s this guy in my bed?
