Another well organised tour for my four book series and I’m looking forward to number 4 in just a couple of weeks!

As a debut novelist, everything can seem hard if not impossible at times. The writing, editing, finding a publisher, proofing. These are all hard. Then there is the other stuff: the doubting, worrying, over-thinking, catastrophising and did I mention doubting? Into all of this comes the book tour. Publishers don’t always offer the service, it can be ‘another thing’ to worry and doubt about. But my experience of ZooLoo book tours is so positive.
The one thing an author needs, above all else, is to feel well read, to feel that the book has been engaged with and understood. It is great if the reader likes the book and gives if five stars, that’s icing on the cake, but to be read, to be understood – these are more important.
The blog tour which Zoé provides, the kind bloggers who read and comment, the blogs neatly arrayed and presented on Zoé’s website and subsequently on Amazon and Goodreads, these are priceless commodities to the author and provide a tremendous sense of confirmation and approval at the end of the long journey.

There are so many things I LOVE about Zooloo’s Book Tours but the three big ones are firstly the quality of the bloggers – avid readers, great SM followers and crucially genre literate which is important to me since I write Technothrillers which has in the past lead to poorer reviews because the bloggers aren’t used to the genre. Secondly, Zoé’s promotion of the tour was second to none with daily social updates and great communication to me. Finally, and its no small thing, the post tour follow us was fantastic – we run these tours to get social proof on Amazon and Goodreads and Zoé followed up all the bloogers and then (and this is the big) sends a SS with a Goodreads, Insta and Amazon link to each review along with quotable lines from each blogger. Perfect. It saves me hours of time having to do my own follow up and trawling through reviews trying to extract quotes. That alone is worth the price of the tour. Thanks so much Zoé.

I took a punt on Zoe’s Book Tour via a recommendation, not really knowing what to expect. Wow! Were my expectations surpassed!
Zoe contacted a host of book bloggers on my behalf and nailed down those 18 who expressed an interest in my book, DeadStar.
Every day for a full seven-day week, the allotted bloggers – without fail – posted on their blogs, social media and, in many cases, GoodReads and Amazon, their reviews (as well as a Q&A with myself, and a couple of book extracts). One extract alone was retweeted by enough Twitter book-bloggers that it must have reached 50K Twitter users.
At the end of an incredible experience, I now have a host of review quotes with which to launch my book, which is beyond invaluable. I’ll add them to my Amazon Description and early browsers will see glowing appraisals. Among my marketing, I’d wanted to compare DeadStar with Spinal Tap and Daisy Jones – sounds naff and iffy coming from me – and now I have bloggers doing that for me, whom readers will trust. I also currently have a 4.29 rating on GoodReads from 14 ratings and 13 reviews – two weeks before launch. As ARC teams go, this one really works!
