The wedding of the year is approaching and the girls are off to snowy Lapland for Maddy's hen party, with sleigh rides through the forest, saunas, ice plunges and glass igloos to enjoy.

Plus cute husky puppies and more snow than they could ever dream of!

But there's just one problem. Maddy is grappling with a dark secret.

Could it derail all of hers and Jack's glorious plans for their big day?

Will there actually be a wedding?

There is so much to unpack with this book in such a small amount of pages. I loved this book! Even though this is about Maddy, we had viewpoints from Fen and Laurel, which is a slightly different take for Rosie. Although I was screaming in disbelief when we had a mini cliffhanger with one character and then Rosie spent chapters and chapters with other people! I wanted to know what the clanger was – such a tease!!!!

Will Maddy get her dream wedding? I did wonder at times! It was a bit nail-biting, as there were so many different roadblocks and I did wonder what might happen. But I knew Rosie wouldn’t let me down. I think it took Rosie until Chapter 38 to make me cry…so I take that as a win! Normally I am sobbing at something. But there was just one word when Maddy thinks “Jack”. I know one word so simple but in the context, I felt my eyes leaking.

I loved this addition to the series and Maddy has come such a long way since we first met her and she’s cemented herself firmly in my heart. I can’t wait for January and the new book!

Until the next time xxx

About Rosie Green

Rosie Green’s Little Duck Pond Cafe series of novellas is centered around life in a village cafe and most can be read as stand-alone stories.

(‘The Sunshine Sisters’ is a trilogy within the Little Duck Pond Café series and it would benefit from being read in order: Aurora, Skye and Blossom.)

Look out for ‘Cosy Nights & Snowball Fights’, and ‘Maddy’s Christmas Wedding’, both out later this year in time for the festive season!
