About the Book
The AI pandemic is raging. Monsters stalk the country lanes. Reluctant survivalist, artist, and mother Lou Sinclair has been abandoned. Her partner Edward, summoned to London, has left her to fend for herself.
As the pandemic spreads, the world’s cities fall dark. Lou, her son James, and daughter Eve struggle on, gathering a small band of survivors.
In a fragile, false peace, the fractious group hunker down and prepare for siege.

S G Bell’s fiction draws upon his experience as an international consultant, journal editor, research institute CEO and Emeritus Professor at the Open University. In his writing S G Bell explores ideas from the boundaries of his understanding, most specifically concerning the vulnerability of social groups to dangerous ideas, and potentially existential challenges which are emerging from the fusion of internet and AI technologies.
