After years of suffering at the hands of her abusive husband, Emma finally manages to break loose. With a new identity and hundreds of miles from her home in London, she finally dares to dream of a new life as she begins to put down roots in a remote village deep in the Snowdonia countryside.
However, all is not as it seems in this sleepy village, and after reading the epitaph on two gravestones, Emma discovers a tragedy that ripped the tiny village to its core and threatens to unbalance her new friendships.
Meanwhile, her ruthless husband, Philip, a man not to be messed with, is determined to track down his wife and make her pay for abandoning him. Hot on Emma’s heels, and with the help of a private investigator, Philip hunts her down, and the final chase begins.
Meet Allison Lee
Allison Lee first started writing education and non-fiction books in 2006 based on her profession at the time in the Early Years.
Having always harboured a passion for writing a novel, she got her ideas for her debut book when she and her husband bought a remote cottage set in the heart of Snowdonia, where they escape for holidays and weekends, allowing Allison to indulge her passion for writing.
Allison and her husband have two sons and two beautiful granddaughters. They live on a small holding in Yorkshire with their four dogs and animals, including sheep, pigs, goats, donkeys, ponies and chickens.
Allison’s hobbies, besides caring for her beloved animals, are growing fruit and vegetables and supporting wildlife.
