After completing her Law courses in Manchester, Catherine studied English Literature before then going on to qualify as a solicitor. Although she specialises in Intellectual Property Law, she has always maintained an interest in the criminal which has seeped into her fiction writing. She has lived in multiple places around England but has settled in Derbyshire where she lives with her husband.
