About the Book
Presently, we experience enormous freedom as women compared to our grandmothers. Yet, many of those freedoms and rights are currently being threatened. Would we not benefit from sage advice from those who came before us?
If you had the chance to chat with several generations of your deceased grandmothers, would you do it? What would you ask them? What do you know about their lives? What might you have in common with them? What gifts and strengths did they pass on to you? What undesirable patterns did they pass on to you? What lessons do they want to teach you and your descendants? This matters because we share more with them than you'd think.
Wisdom from My Grandmothers is the third book in the "Toxic to Thriving" series of Jo Ann's personal transformation memoirs showing her journey through numerous toxic marriages to thriving in her best life. It's filled with inherited wisdom from Jo Ann's conversations with her deceased female ancestors about their lives as women. Their ordinary lives and dreams were shaped by the patriarchal world they lived in, yet they shared good advice and keys to resilience for future generations.
Jo Ann's mother and grandmothers would be seen as ordinary women by most, but they were extraordinary in their own way. She didn't know all of them when they were living, but they are now part of her spirit guide team.
Her ancestors-like yours-have important wisdom to share with us. Jo Ann was asked by hers to share their stories. If you listen and reflect, you can learn from yours as well.
When we listen, then act, we can heal our past and help our future.
Have you met Jo Ann Fawcettβ¦
Jo Ann Fawcett dramatically changed her life after seven marriages that included various types of abuse, divorce, death, and being a prison wife. In each marriage, Jo Ann felt that she was not enough. Husband #7 was a narcissist, and for over 20 years she didnβt know that was the problem. When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, she took the time to look at what she wanted vs. what she wasnβt getting. Thus began a three-year journey of untangling.
Published in 2021, Jo Annβs first memoir, Midlife Magic (by Jo Ann Richards), shares the stories of her typical suburban childhood, the failing of the first six marriages and lessons learned, life with husband #7 as a prison wife, and the new path she embraced that includes UFO sightings, spirits, elementals, and magic.
Jo Annβs award-winning second memoir, The Prince Was Wrong; Leaving the Narcissist Behind, was published in 2024. Jo Ann discovered the reality that husband #7 is a narcissist. Learn the red flags of this type of abuse. Experience the demise of their relationship with clear examples of his narcissistic behavior. Share Jo Annβs joy now that sheβs found a happy and fulfilling life after divorcing The Prince and is creating her best self.
